Tara Pace is a licensed mental health therapist with almost two decades of experience providing treatment to individuals and families with a variety of presenting concerns, empowering them to achieve wellness in all areas of life. She received her master’s in clinical Mental Health Counseling from Canisius College where she continues to teach.   She has worked at multiple not-for-profits and area colleges where she provided clinical training and supervision to staff and students due to her expertise in clinical mental health treatment.  She brings this expertise to Envision Wellness WNY in her role as Executive Director where she supports and believes passionately in the mission and vision of the agency.  She is thankful for the opportunity to support a dedicated team of professionals.

Phillip Santiago LMHC from SUNY at Buffalo 2013 and has been an Adjunct professor for 25 years. Life’s journey has brought me many lessons which in great part motivated me to enter the mental health profession. As a mental health counselor, I have helped clients with substance use or mental health challenges, in individual and group modalities. I believe the essence of counseling is to nurture growth in individuals. The individual’s growth will contribute to the greater good of families and the community. As director of clinical services, I aim to assist, train and prepare our clinicians, and staff, to help our clients achieve the goals for growth that they envision for themselves.

Emily Ballok, LMHC

Emily joined Envision Wellness in January 2019 as the Senior Clinical Supervisor. Her responsibilities include nurturing counselors in their growth and clinical oversight at the outpatient location. Prior to coming to Envision, Emily’s experiences include use of brief solution focused therapy and substance use counseling in the context of families and individual sessions. Most recently she received training in cognitive processing therapy. Since the start, she has worked with interns and provides internship and practicum supervision. Emily received her master’s in mental health counseling at University at Buffalo in 2008.

Since graduation from Syracuse University, all my professional career has been at this agency. My training was provided by those, I consider the best in the business. I believe in the philosophy of this agency, where clients have always come first. I have engaged many individuals in a purposeful relationship through a straightforward approach that provides a new interpersonal experience with the goal being to enhance the quality of their lives. Here and there, I have also lent support to loved ones in their lives.  At the time I provide treatment to individuals, groups and coordinate referrals from other community agencies. Throughout the years I have also supervised staff to attain their profession degrees.

Annelisa graduated from Buffalo State with a degree in Political Science but changed course after working with the homeless population in Miami. Annelisa has been with the agency since returning to this area almost 20 years ago. She appreciates the holistic approach the agency utilizes in working with people with mental health issues.

Christina Cooper, BA

Christina Cooper graduated Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts with a BA in Sociology in 2001.  Soon after graduation, she began working at Etaria Rehabilitation Center where she provided mental health and substance abuse treatment services in a residential setting.   In 2006 she started working as a counselor in the Etaria Day Treatment Program providing individual and groups counseling to adults struggling with mental health and substance abuse problems.  In 2017, Christina was promoted to Direct Service Coordinator of the Etaria Continuing Day Treatment Program.

I graduated from the University at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology. I have been working in this field since 2003 and employed at this agency since 2006. I began here as a Supportive Case Manager. I did this for a year until I accepted a Rehabilitation Specialist position in our Continuing Treatment Program. In 2016, I was promoted to the position of Direct Services Coordinator of the Continuing Treatment Program.
